Sixteen Months!

My little ham! He can love and hate the camera all the same. But when moments like these arise I take advantage of them. How could you not. I know I'm his Momma, but he is just so darn cute!!!

Teeth: At 16 months you had eight teeth. those two other teeth finally came through on the bottom.

Health: You have been happy and healthy!

I LOVE those little curls, your Daddy on the other hand...not so much!

Vocabulary: Your vocabulary has taken off, I can't keep up with all the new things you are saying. You are finally saying Momma or Mommy quite a bit. You say it so sweet and it just makes my heart feel good. I especially love when you wake up and say my name! We have not the first cat here at our house and neither does any family but you know what a cat is and you recently saw one in a book and couldn't quit looking at it saying diddy for kitty! So cute. You also say doggies now, instead of doggy. you try to say Gunner but i think its a bit hard. You say ice and mine, but you say both of those words like a little country boy. you also say me.

New Things: You have become very aware of when you are going to the bathroom, but the funniest thing is when you pass gas you grab your bottom and say huh! pee pee! (We're working on this, it's confusing, I know) You are starting to learn what noise certain animals make. And you have a fascination with birds for some reason.

This picture looks like he is salsa dancing, HAHA!!

Food/Drink: For the most part you are a good eater. I think its safe to say your favorite food ever is banana, nannies as you like to call them. If I can't get you to eat anything else you will eat a banana. I wish you had the same taste for veggies as you do for bananas. A close second to bananas is chicken, you LOVE chicken. And grapes, you will eat your weight in grapes.

Music: You occasionally add a few new dance moves to your routine. Your most recent is you do a sorta disco move with your hands. It is so funny and I have no idea where you learned it, but it is too cute!

Toys: You are loving your toy mailbox with little plastic pieces of mail and this keeps you busy forever. You love to put the mail in and out of the mailbox.

Sleep: Your sleeping is great! And I'm not complaining!

Favorites: A recent favorite is a little bear that I got when I had you. You LOVE this little bear and you carry it around and call it your baby. You love on it and hold it and bounce it. It is so sweet.

Clothes/Shoes: Some 12-18mo, mostly 18mo. Your jammies are mostly 24 months and a size 5 shoe. You wear a size 4 diaper.

Height/Weight: I think you are somewhere around 27lbs and 32 in tall (?? i wish i knew for sure)

Milestones: You have mastered the art of blowing kisses and peek a boo. Also if you are asked how old you are you will hold up one finger.

I just love you more than anything ever!! You are my little sunshine!

Happy Birthday Eli!

Happy Birthday to our precious Baby Boy!

This sort of thing I am realizing, is hard on a Momma. You carry that precious life for nine long months, go through the most unbearable pain to bring them into this world. Hold them, love them, watch them grow and learn new things everday. Teach them and raise them to be the best they can be. And time is so unthoughtful to a Mother. Wanting nothing more than to cherish every day, every hour, every minute and wishing all along that time would just stand still so that you can have these moments for a bit longer, but time just keeps going by like the season's in a year. Watching this little guy grow has been such a blessing. I do love that he is growing up, but I sure miss my little baby.

Eli,

We are so blessed to have you in our life. You bring joy to each and every day. We could not imagine our life without you! Happy Birthday Baby!

We Love you So Much,

Daddy & Momma

Take you for a ride on my big green tractor

Or in this case blue and white tractor...

Well... the jury is still out on wether or not it is really a tractor. Something about if there was a deck it would be a lawn mower, but since there isn't,  it's a tractor. Just kidding, that was for you honey! Well if it makes him happy to say he owns a tractor, so be it. If you know my Husband you know he loves his toys. And as much as he loves tractors, I hope there is a mini farm in our future. But whatever the case may be, I think this is what he loves most.

I wanted to share this song with you. You have probably heard it. This song came out while I was pregnant. But now that Eli is here this song means so much more. And I guess it's a Mommy thing, but I can't help but listen to this song a nearly tear up every time.

Mothers Day

Well I guess I was kinda a Mommy last Mothers day...but Eli was still in the Belly... not near as much work while he was in there. :) But I sure love having him here with me. And I have to be honest. It is hard to remember not being a Mommy. He has brought so much joy to my life. I love him more than words and I just don't know what I would do without him. I am so thankful that God has given me this precious opprotunity to be a Mommy. And I also feel so blessed for such a hard working husband, he has been working so hard so that I can be home with Eli. It was always my desire to be a stay at home Mom. And I am so thankful that I have a Husband that shares the same desires and wants as I do for our children. I Love being home and cherish all these first days with Eli.

I got these beautiful flowers were from my Husband and he was so sweet and took me to dinner.

Eli I love being your Mommy. I am so blessed to have such a good baby and such a sweet baby. The day you came into our life I will never forget, you changed our whole world in the best way.
Isaac thank you for everything that you do for us. I am even more blessed to have such a hard working Husband.

One Year Ago Today

A year can change a whole lot. For good or for bad those changes create the person that you one day become. Sometimes you know that change is coming and sometimes it just simply takes you by surprise. And that is exactly what happened one year ago this very day. I was overwhelmed with the news that I was carrying a precious life inside me. Overwhelmed to say the very least, scared, nervous yet overjoyed all the same. And little did I know, that news would change my whole world. It would forever change the way that I look at life. How to appreciate the little things. How to slow down, because we all know how we let the hustle and bustle from the holiday season slip in to our day to day. I know I'm not the only one. Nine long months went by after that news and a few weeks of wondering if he would ever get here. And I am so glad that he did. Because I know that my life would have never been the same with out having been blessed with such a wonderful gift.

We love you so much Eli!

A New Year full of New Adventures!

Oh my..I can't get over how fast this past year went by. I am sure now that we have a little one in our life they are going to start going by even quicker. This is what I hear anyway. And so far I am believing it because every morning I wake up, I've barely eaten breakfast and it's already time to make dinner. But I am enjoying every single minute of it. He changes so much every day. And he is just growing like a weed. If there was someway I could slow it down I would because these days probably go by the quickest, and I want to cherish every moment.
Hangin with Dad on New Years Day

First walk around the neighborhood.
There was so much to take in, he was very serious about it can't you tell. He slept like a champ after that walk. I guess all that looking around can make you tired.

Smiles like these melt my heart.

I was playing around with the settings on my camera one night when I captured this great shot. Love It!!

This picture is soooo funny, and it is one of those moments that you just had to be there. The baby was being really fussy one evening. Gunner kept huffing and puffing about it and when we looked over at him this is how he was laying. He looks frustrated. I think there are times he just isn't sure about this little thing we brought home one day and never returned. I am pretty sure if he could talk he would ask when is it going home. One of these days though, I know they will be inseparable, but for now he is feeling a bit like this picture.

We have a very exciting year ahead of us. Full of first laughs, first words, first steps and a first birthday. This little fella is going to do a lot of growing over this coming year and I hope to capture as much as I can and share it with you.

Wishing all of you the very best year!

Newborn Photo Shoot

We had some photos done of Eli Monday by Chrissy from Vitalic Photo. I really love working with her, she is just super sweet. Originally we had planned on having some family photos done outside as well, but the weather just was not cooperating, which seems to be my luck when it comes to having pictures done. The wind was whipping about 20 mph, and it was a chilly 35 degrees outside, but was feeling more like 25...Burrrr!! Not really family pictures with a 4 week old baby weather, not at all. So we stayed inside the studio where it was a bit warmer, and we let him hog the camera. I'm sure you would rather see more pictures of this handsome little guy than of Mom and Dad anyway, no hard feelings we understand, who wouldn't! You can view the photos below or view them on her Blog. Thanks Chrissy, as always you did great work.

Rest in Peace Pa Pa

It has been a really hard week for my family, as we have lost someone very dear to our hearts. We will miss him so much. And as hard as it is for us to let him go, we must, he is so much better off than sick and in pain. Just keep us in your prayers as we make it through the coming weeks and months ahead.

We love you Pa Pa and we will miss you so much.

Start of a new season

Autumn!! This is my very favorite season. We really don't get to experience "the season" so to speak here in sunny south Florida like those up north do, but the crisp that fills the air and the breeze that brushes your cheeks, the kind of quite that the late afternoon brings after a rain, I just love. It isn't the official start of Autumn yet, but close. I have started noticing the afternoons to be a little cooler, not a lot, but we will take what we can get.

Like changes in the weather come changes in our life, Parenthood..I have been thinking about this a lot lately as this change is sneaking up on us faster than we know it.. I feel like it was just yesterday I was getting a phone call from a doctor telling me that I was pregnant..just yesterday that I felt the morning sickness would never end and just yesterday that I felt my baby move for the first time. And I am sure a little more than year from now when my little man is taking his first steps and we are celebrating his first birthday, I will be looking back saying I feel like it was just yesterday. But the seasons just keep changing, they don't wait for you to notice and they don't slow down for you to enjoy them. So we have to take everyday one at a time and just enjoy every moment along the way.

I wanted to go ahead and do this post now, becuase I have other things planned for later in the week, and another good reason to do it is, I already have my fall decor up and took some pictures to share.

Happy Autumn Everyone!!
