In case you were wondering

Yes, I am still here. This Momma has been soaking up life with two babies and all the unexpected! After a much anticipated end to an adjustment period for our little guy after bringing home a new baby. Things got more hectic than we realized was coming our way. A certain Husband I know furthering some education, left little time for family,. And a lot of time for this Momma to realize how difficult it would be to do it alone. Oh am I forever grateful that I don't.

Once the dust settled, it was off to bigger and better adventures. Which just so happen to involve alot of paint, and a pair of jeans that will never be the same again. Somehow I think they might sell them with paint on them now days. Hmm... maybe I will throw them on eBay just to see what comes of it.

And as you can see in the picture above my 6month old darling baby girl, isn't very much a baby. She thinks she can do it all or should do it all. I'm not sure what I should do with this one. I fear she could be walking by Christmas or at least trying to. I'm not ready for that by the way. What is they say...ready or not, get ready. I suppose I will manage. And maybe be partially gray before its over.

And this fella!!! He just blows my mind. Some days I'm left shaking my head. Wasn't it just yesterday HE was 6months? Gosh time flies. And the good times fly faster it seems.

On the off chance that any of you are still out there. Yes I am still here. Your not so faithful blogger. I have been busy being busy and busy being in love with these two. If you are there, and maybe just stopped in to see if there was an update, I am so very glad that you did.

Hopefully I will be back very soon! Happy holiday prepping to you all.

Deja Vu....First Bath!!

Here we are again, The First Bath!!
I love how the comparison of pictures from Eli's first bath and Shalyn's first bath are so similar!!

Shalyn
But this wouldn't be complete without a picture of  Eli in there with us!

He was a very concerned Big Brother. When I placed Shalyn down in the tub, of course she wasn't too happy about it. and Eli started comforting her "It's otay Shalyn, you'll be otay" He said that to her several times all the while rubbing her head softly. He finally turned to me and in a very demanding voice said "She is too little for a bath Momma!!"

And here is my sweet girl, All cleaned and ready for bed!

Welcome Shalyn Paige!!

This was the last picture I took pregnant. I took this May 02, 2013. And little did I know that...

The next day I would be holding this beautiful baby girl in my arms!!
This picture is exactly why 10 months of pregnancy and several hours of painful labor are all worth it. When they laid that precious baby girl on my chest she reached out and held tight to my finger. Its that instant overwhelming feeling of unconditional Love that just makes it all okay!

And she already has that sad pouty lip down!! Watch out Daddy!!

I absolutely Love this picture! Eli was able to come in the room as soon as Shalyn arrived. I am so Thankful for this. I know he might not remember it when he gets older, but we have a great memory of this moment to share with them. He stood on a chair and watched them clean her and he asked questions and just kept telling the nurses over and over, "I'm gonna hug her, and I'm gonna kiss her, and then.... she's gonna cry"
It was priceless, but you could tell that he was just so proud!

Their room, a space for two.

Once we found out that we were having a Girl...my wheels were spinning. What was I going to do about the room. We had decided that we were going to do a shared room, because we only have three bedrooms and  we weren't quite ready to give up our space for guests just yet. And to be honest, before finding out that we were expecting a girl, I really had no ideas for a boy/girl room.

Eli's room had a Nautical feel to it so I decided to avoid changing to much, I would just play into that theme and go from there. It really all fell into place. The most challenging thing was finding bedding that wouldn't clash to much, so I decided to just make it myself, with some help from my Momma.

And Because he is so cute!!

Self maternity and The Baby Shower

Since it is rather difficult to convince my dear husband that it is difficult for me to take pictures of our family, and since at the time we just could agree on what a reasonable amount was to spend on pictures. A friend of my Moms took some pictures for us.

Although I do love the pictures of all of us, I absolutely love this picture of Eli and I. Pretty sure its my favorite! In this picture he was showing me how big my tummy was. So cute and what a great memory!

The Girly Pink and Teal Baby Shower!
A huge Thank You to My Sister and Mom for making this day so special for me. I feel so blessed. They planned a beautiful shower. And after two boys I am sure it was fun to plan for a girl.
And Thank you to my wonderful mil Debby for such a beautiful cake!!
I'm sure it was all the Love that went into planning it. But it was better than I could have imagined!!
