A month of a few Firsts!

This was quite a month for our little guy. He got his very first haircut and had his very first dentist appt! Which to be honest the reaction to both were oposite of what we thought it would be. You loved getting your haircut and hated the dentist.

Bye Bye Curls! Bye Bye baby locks! Sad Momma, Happy Daddy! And as much as I will admit that I prolonged this experience. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But those little curls in my mind were the last little bit of baby I had left in this little guy! 

This is where this story gets even more memorable. In deciding to go ahead and get Eli's haircut for the first time, this Momma was unsure she would be able to pull it off herself. Someone had to take pictures, and I couldn't do both. So Isaac made a phone call, to Mr. Don. The same guy who gave him his first haircut some almost 30 years ago or so. He heard through the vine that he was still cutting hair, and sure enough he was.

This was Isaac on the day of his first haircut. 

And here is our sweet Eli on the day of his first haircut. Same chair, same barber. And if I might add, two boys that look a whole ton alike.

Now onto your First Dentist Visit!! Which you did not love at ALL!! The pictures speak for themselves here. It was a very quick painless experience all they did was brush your teeth, and you were just flat out, NOT HAPPY!!

Eighteen Months Old!

Eli, Eli, Eli...why oh why are you growing up so fast? Mommy just wishes you would stay little forever. Love you so much little guy!

Teeth: You had 10 teeth at 18 months old

Health: Your health has been great other than the usual teething symptoms

I'm not sure I will ever get tired of seeing this sweet boy sleep :) So precious!

Vocabulary: I can try and give it a shot to remember some new words, but you pretty much just try and say anything. Which is equally good and bad. You have your own little versions of words too, which is really cute. You say babege for garbage, babu for diaper, you of coarse are saying pee pee and poop. Night night, bye bye, pease for please, Do do for blues clues (your very favorite show right now) you also say wasch for watch. Rice, Beeps for grapes, Nanni for Banana. Toodies for cookies. Boosh for fish.You say eat and have also started getting better about saying juice and milk. And a newer one that has just melted my heart is wub bu for love you. I just love to hear you say that to me!

New things: You are getting very good with learning some new body parts one of them your elbow which you call your bow bow. You love to do fist bumps too. We usually do a high five, a fist bump and then a bow bow. You are also getting very good with your animal sounds.

Food/Drink: You have been pretty picky lately, I hope we get out of this stage soon. You still love your usual grapes (which you started calling beeps) bananas, chicken, you LOVE rice and you can also say rice) And you are most deffinitely a bread eater, you have been loving pb&j's.

Music: Mommy or Daddy can't play the piano anymore without you thinking that you need to come and play to. And you have really taken to your little guitar lately.

Sleep: Your sleep is wonderful :)

Favorites: You love to go on rides on Daddys dirt bike, and goodness forbid he start it up and not take you for a ride, or if your inside and you think you arent going on a ride. You love to sit on it and hold the handles making brm brm noises.

First Egg Hunt

Clothes: You are in mostly 18mo clothes and some 24mo clothes. Shoes are a size 5-6

Height/Weight - Your weight hasn't really changed much, you are just so active. Your height is I believe around 33/34in, I will have to double check to be sure.
