I can't believe that we are down to a month. Crazy to think that in just a few short weeks I will be holding my baby in my arms. Sleeping is getting more and more difficult and just your general walking, sitting, standing..All uncomfortable. We are getting so excited to meet the new addition to our family. And in this last little stretch I think he is ready to meet us too.. He has been moving like crazy, maybe it's a notion of, hey Mom I'm gettin a little cramped in here, somethin you can do about that. :)

We will all have relief very soon.

Thirty Four Weeks

Still in the Honeydew stage.

His fat layers, which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. Babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

We are now at the Honeydew Stage until 36 weeks.

The Baby is rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with aconehead like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.infancy and childhood.

Three wonderful years!!

 Ten years and two days ago a handsome young man walked into a church I was visiting and sat in the back row, he say's he knew I was the one the moment he saw me. After a slick notion of I'm going if she's going (pointing at me whom he had never met) He say's he was trying get out of it...but somehow I think it was part of his plan all along. How could I turn down the offer... I am sure glad I went. My oh my, ten years have flown by..now here I sit thinking back three years ago today, when I walked down the isle to my groom, the love of my life, we said our I Do's and exchanged the promises to forever love and cherish each other through good and bad. I am so greatful for such a wonderful Husband. I can't help but smile to think about the many years ahead of us.

Happy Anniversary, Babe!! I am so glad that God brought us together.. I can't imagine a life without you, your smile, your humor, your charm, your sweet and caring ways. Every day gets better than the one before. I can not wait until our baby boy gets here to start a whole new chapter of our life together, but more importantly I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you so much! ~Randa

Start of a new season

Autumn!! This is my very favorite season. We really don't get to experience "the season" so to speak here in sunny south Florida like those up north do, but the crisp that fills the air and the breeze that brushes your cheeks, the kind of quite that the late afternoon brings after a rain, I just love. It isn't the official start of Autumn yet, but close. I have started noticing the afternoons to be a little cooler, not a lot, but we will take what we can get.

Like changes in the weather come changes in our life, Parenthood..I have been thinking about this a lot lately as this change is sneaking up on us faster than we know it.. I feel like it was just yesterday I was getting a phone call from a doctor telling me that I was pregnant..just yesterday that I felt the morning sickness would never end and just yesterday that I felt my baby move for the first time. And I am sure a little more than year from now when my little man is taking his first steps and we are celebrating his first birthday, I will be looking back saying I feel like it was just yesterday. But the seasons just keep changing, they don't wait for you to notice and they don't slow down for you to enjoy them. So we have to take everyday one at a time and just enjoy every moment along the way.

I wanted to go ahead and do this post now, becuase I have other things planned for later in the week, and another good reason to do it is, I already have my fall decor up and took some pictures to share.

Well I seem to be managing taking the pictures but just can not seem to get them posted here. It really only takes a few minutes to do a post but I just can't seem to scrounge a few minutes up. :) It is definitely getting harder towards the end.. but I am hoping to have all my weekly pictures posted before delivery (Hope I am not setting my hopes to high there HA!!!).. and speaking of delivery....it is not that far away.. Yikes!! But we are praying and believing for a safe and natural delivery. And a Healthy baby boy :)

Thirty Two Weeks

This is the last week in the small pumpkin stage.

Baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, he'll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb. He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth.

Thirty One Weeks

We are still in the small pumpkin stage.

This week, baby measures over 16 inches long. Weighs about 3.3 pounds and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

Maternity Photos!!

After a reschedule due to bad weather we got lucky with a sunny clear day to take the pictures. Chrissy from Vitalic Photo was a wonderful photographer and although it was sunny and clear, it was super windy out. She still managed to work around my ever blowing in the wind, hair and get some really great shots.

Isaac was pleased to discover that he really didn't need to be in many of the shots, which was a huge relief to him since he just loves taking pictures so much (facetiously speaking) and he found himself preoccupied in conversation with Chrissy's husband whom just so happen to have quite a bit in common with him.

Blog Changes

If you've tried to get on lately and were not successful, I apologize. I was working on a new look for the blog. I am not sure yet that I like the changes, so it is very possible that it may change again soon. Just a fair warning. Thanks for all that follow, it is really hard to keep up with posting in these last few months of pregnancy but I am trying. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Thirty Week Belly Pic

Our last Lamaze class was Monday night. It was nice being there in a way.. because you realize that of course your not in this alone, I don't mean that in a bad way either.

But I have to admit I really could have used maybe one more class just on breathing. I feel like I am not going to remember what they taught us. Our instructor did encourage us that for the most part it will come very naturally to you to just breath through the contractions. And I am sure that if we have difficulty remembering there will be a very nice nurse there to give us a refresher.

Baby’s development this week….A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light.
