Self maternity and The Baby Shower

Since it is rather difficult to convince my dear husband that it is difficult for me to take pictures of our family, and since at the time we just could agree on what a reasonable amount was to spend on pictures. A friend of my Moms took some pictures for us.

Although I do love the pictures of all of us, I absolutely love this picture of Eli and I. Pretty sure its my favorite! In this picture he was showing me how big my tummy was. So cute and what a great memory!

The Girly Pink and Teal Baby Shower!
A huge Thank You to My Sister and Mom for making this day so special for me. I feel so blessed. They planned a beautiful shower. And after two boys I am sure it was fun to plan for a girl.
And Thank you to my wonderful mil Debby for such a beautiful cake!!
I'm sure it was all the Love that went into planning it. But it was better than I could have imagined!!

50/50 Shot!

So when you plan to get pregnant or its just simply by surprise. The reality is that you only have a 50/50 shot  at either sex baby. That is if there is only one in there. And thank goodness in our case there was in deed just one. At our 20 week ultrasound Isaac was sweating bullets. He told me in the waiting room he thought he actually might just throw up. I couldn't help but laugh, after all he did realize fretting about it wouldn't change a thing. And its not that he wouldn't love a baby girl, its just, I suppose it would have been easier on his heart if it were a boy. Well he had that poor ultrasound tech searching and searching for what seemed like days for a penis. And there wasn't not one to be found. Poor Daddy...he looked like he had been punched in the gut.

I think deep down he was excited. And I knew that he would be just fine. He would have another 20 weeks to come around to the idea of a baby girl. And another 15-18 years to think about how to keep the boys away. (wink, wink) Then there was our sweet Eli, He was just sure he was having a brother...I wonder who placed that in his head. Well we finally convinced him that we were having a girl and not a boy. And eventually he started telling people everywhere we went as he would point to my belly he would say "thats my sister"! He is going to be the best Big Brother!

Here is our sweet baby girl!! Her name will be
Shalyn Paige!

And we already love her so very much!!

The growing belly!!

This Pregnancy for me was different from my first and yet it was so similar too. I took weekly pictures this pregnancy as well, for sake of not putting up 30+ pictures, I decided to only share a few.

Catching you up

I would have thought I would have been back here much sooner than now to keep you filled in on our eventful, never dull and full of surprises life. Especially after my most recent post I made after discovering things were up and running again. But making time has not been my strong point. After all I have only been preparing for baby number two, and chasing after my little guy. Those two things alone have kept me rather busy, I won't go into great detail about the rest :)

This post will be the first of several that I plan on making to bring you current. Or try to anyway. There is so much I feel like I am leaving out for having been away for so long. Hopefully this will paint at least a vague picture of the last several months. If anything enjoy the pictures!

Well I shared the news here that I was expecting baby number two, but a few months before that we learned that my Sister was expecting. Her and her Husband traveled a long hard road before this pregnancy. But I am Happy to say that the pregnancy was healthy and in the end they were blessed with a beautiful bundle of joy!!

In October of last year, we took a trip to Wyoming to visit some friends. It was such a great time. So good to get together with friends after so long and feel like there was no time that separated you. There life there is simple and charming, Their little cabin is small and cozy yet full of character and speaks so much of who they are. I took so many pictures while we were there, and wanted to share a few.
You havn't seen anything, until you have witnessed a real life cattle drive, right through the middle of town.

We made homemade apple butter!
There is quite possibly nothing that compares to the smell of apple butter simmering.

Now onto my Eli boy. He turned two in November and we had such a fun Birthday party together with a few friends and Family. Its so hard to believe that he is two already. Gosh time really flies. He is getting so big. He is so wippen smart sometimes it is just down right scary. He has grown so much, learned so much and accomplished so much over the last several months. But here are just a few pictures. I sure love this kid, he just makes me smile!!

We did a swim refresher this year for Eli. Hopefully even though we have a new baby coming we will be able to get a decent amount of pool time in for him.

These next few pics are so fun and captured such a great memory. Eli shot the BB gun for the very first time. I think its safe to say that Eli wasn't the only one proud here. And you have to love how he is looking down the barrel, Prob kinda hard to do when your eye is mashed right against the gun.

Love it!!

Hallelujah people!! I do believe it might be safe to say that my issue of not being able to upload pictures no longer exists. At least I hope so. So for now just a quick Hello and a quick photo share. Most of you already know, but for those who follow that do not....

I have so much more to share and catch you up on, and of course tons of pictures that I need to get on here. But since I just had a few short minutes to do a quick post, this will have to suffice. :)

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season and we wish you a very Happy New Year!
