Happy Birthday Eli!

Happy Birthday to our precious Baby Boy!

This sort of thing I am realizing, is hard on a Momma. You carry that precious life for nine long months, go through the most unbearable pain to bring them into this world. Hold them, love them, watch them grow and learn new things everday. Teach them and raise them to be the best they can be. And time is so unthoughtful to a Mother. Wanting nothing more than to cherish every day, every hour, every minute and wishing all along that time would just stand still so that you can have these moments for a bit longer, but time just keeps going by like the season's in a year. Watching this little guy grow has been such a blessing. I do love that he is growing up, but I sure miss my little baby.

Eli,

We are so blessed to have you in our life. You bring joy to each and every day. We could not imagine our life without you! Happy Birthday Baby!

We Love you So Much,

Daddy & Momma

Country Pumkin Bumpkin!

Happy Fall!

This is my most favorite time of year. I love the colors, the pumkins, the cooler weather! Pretty much everything about it.
I especially LOVE
A baby wearin  bluejean overalls and a cute little pumpkin hat!!

Swimmin Like a Fish!

Isaac and I discussed very early on that we wanted to do swim lessons for Eli. We just think it is very important that children know how to swim and feel comfortable in the water. The earlier the better too. Since Eli is so interested in the water, it just made even more sense for us to get him started. We were having a hard time deciding where we would take him, until my dear friend Katie posted some videos of her son swimming! I was impressed! I think I may have called her as soon as I watched them. I wanted to know all about it.What was so important for us was to find a place that taught swimming as a survival method, not just for fun. When I got off the phone with her I knew this was where we would take him.

So we got connected with Tiny Bubbles Aquatic Academy. Where Eli started his swim lessons with Mrs. Kirsten, who is probably the most patient woman you will meet. I don't know how she does it. With an outcome as rewarding as this, I suppose that must be what carries her through.

This has been an amazing experience so far!
Eli is swimming so well and he still has a few weeks left to go.
Thank You Mrs. Kirsten for what you have done so far. Everytime our little guy swims we will think of you and how grateful we are to have met you.

We can't wait to see the final result.

Eleven Months Old!

Just one month to go before my little munchkin is a whole year old! Hard to believe. We are in full party planning mode here at our home. Getting all the little details ready. And since the little guy has mastered his walking, it makes party planning all the more difficult. Lets not even mention having the time to do a blog post now and again! I suppose I don't mind the busy-ness and the lack of time to get little things done that I'd like to, because I love that boy to pieces and he makes it all worth it!

Eli Shane you are 11 months old!

I feel like in the last month you have grown so much. You Walking really took off and you are walking everywhere, practically running now. You have started to have a huge interest in music. It has always seemed to get your attention but anytime you hear music you start dancing. And sometimes when you here music you will go tap on the piano keys or try to strum your Daddys guitar.
I love this serious little look you are giving me.
You are always a happy baby for your momma, but!
Sometimes you give me a little tude!
And rarely ever are you sad, but you are in this picture. And I just had to show this picture. What a sad sad face!

LOOK at those toofers! Wow! These pictures were not taken exactly on your 11 months mark but close. You 2nd tooth came through on Oct 2nd & your 3rd came through Oct 14th. All on the right side!
Your balance is very good, and you are really good about getting on and off your horse now.

You spend alot of time in your room getting on your horse, making vroom vroom noises, likes its a tractor or something and then getting off, then all over again. :)
Tired Boy!
We have made huge huge improvements for getting you on a better schedule. And I have to say for as quick as it happened you have done so great. We started on a Friday and by Monday you were down to nursing only twice a day, morning & night. I'm positive at this point it is only for your comfort. Nap time is around 1, and we no longer rock you to sleep, we just read a book and then lay you in your crib.
The first week was a little hard because you would cry for a little while before you would actually go to sleep, but you are doing so good now. You usually take about a 2-3 hour nap. At night you are getting better about going to bed earlier, we are still working on that, but you usually go to sleep about 9 and sleep through the night until 7:30. Oh I can't tell you how Thankful I am for that.

This is how you are doing Peek a boo right now. You are just so cute because when I say Where is Eli...you throw your hands up to your head, sometimes they make it over your eyes, we'll get there.

You also started swim lessons October 3rd And you are doing so good, We are so very proud of you! Pictures for that are coming soon!

In this picture, I'm not sure what you were saying it about but you were saying "see". You say that word alot for some reason. Usually you hold something up that you want us to look at and say see. But sometimes you walk around just saying it. You also say dog alot. And your favorite word is No. You say no about everything. The funniest thing is when Gunner Barks, you could be in mid laugh playing with me or Daddy and if Gunner barks you stop and get very serious and say NO! Sometimes even No dog!
You play with gunner all the time since you have started walking you have become more interested in him, you are always getting toys out of his basket and give them to him, you also throw food off your high chair to him and try to give him your cup. You love for gunner to tug on a toy with you. But your most recent adventure is to try and ride gunner like your rocking horse. It hasn't gone so well for you yet, but maybe if you stay persistant he will let you and maybe I can get a picture or two of it.

Oh and sometimes you call your horse a dog. Well we will get that figured out to.

Silly
Silly
Silly Boy!
You might be silly...but you sure are sweet!
And we love you so much!

Ready for my close up Mommy!

Here are a few pictures that I took of the little guy with the new camera. I finally got around to editing them and couldn't wait to share. I love how they came out.

He was't so sure about the grass.

Or the tie.

Ohhhh.....I'm crazy about this boy!
