Recently

We have had a busy last few weeks. So sorry to those that have been waiting patiently to see pictures of the little guy. I will try to catch you up. Here are just a few pictures....usually I have my phone handy all the time and I take a ton of pictures on my phone, and video for that matter. But for whatever reason my photos and video will not upload to my computer from my phone. I will try to get that fixed and load some of those soon too.
This little outfit almost got thrown in the too small bin. It was tucked away in the 12 mo section in the closet. Good thing I found it because he looks super cute in it.
FYI..gunner isn't much on hats or gloves. I think he was really wishing I would take the hat off Eli.

This is Eli with his Easter Basket. There wasn't much in it just a CD os Silly songs, a pair of swim trunks and a few rattles.

He looks so happy to have gotten it. You would have thought he knew exactly what it was.

This is Eli during what was suppose to be nap time. I came around the corner and to my surprise he was standing in his crib. this little guy was so proud that he figured this out. I shouted ELI...What are you doing...you don't stand in the crib. His response....He laughed histerically.
I really wish I could download the pictures from my phone, because the picture I have on my phone is the first picture I caught of this moment and his face is priceless.

This little jumper my parents got for Eli as an easter gift. He absolutely loves this jumper. Once he figured it out, he just jumps and jumps and jumps.

Since he has had the jumper he now thinks his walker is a jumper and he gets a tad frustrated when his walker won't jump.

And just like that...he was off. Out riding the four-wheeler with Dad. I wasn't so thrilled about this adventure but Dad assured me that Eli really wanted to go and that he needed to spend quality time with him.

I'm pretty sure Eli didn't know what was in store. But he did seem to like it. He wasn't afraid of the noise or anything. He just sat there like a big boy and enjoyed the ride.

Hmmmm...maybe he liked it a little too much.

Im sure there are so many more moments like these in my future. I guess I just have to start bracing myself for them now.

Five Months Old

Sorry this post is so late. I have had several post's in the works now for some time and with all the excitement happening around here recently each one was delayed. This little guy is just getting so big. It has been amazing watching him grow. And they grow so fast. Sometimes shockingly fast. I got on the scale with Eli this time around to get his weight. Well he gained a pound, I would have thought it would have been more but he has become so active that I figure he is probably burning every calorie he takes in.

Eli Shane you are 5 months old!!
And I can hardly believe it. I already look back at pictures of you when we brought you home and It is hard to believe that you use to be so little.
You are so full of energy and you are so talkative most of tht time. You like to make all sorts of noises. If we pat your mouth you love to make different noises along with that. You are still nursing every 3-4 hours and eating all sorts of foods now. Cereal in the morning and at night. You are also eating bananas, apples, green beans, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, and we just tried peas. You love the fruit of coarse, you especially like your apples cold. And you love squash, carrots and sweet potatoes. But since your were introduced to the sweeter stuff your not so fond of the green beans and you not so sure about those peas.
You have started taking pretty good naps for me during the day, but you have started waking up during the night more. You used to sleep from 10-4 (eat)  and sleep until 7. But now you are going to sleep about 9 or 10 then waking at 1, 4 & 7 but go right back to sleep each time after eating and finally getting up for the day at 8 or 9. Every day is usually different. But what is always consistant is that you are such a happy baby. You are rarely fussy.
You found your feet and now you always want to put them in your mouth. You are getting really good at using your hands and usually you are always trying to grab what we have in our hands. Everything you manage to get goes straight in your mouth. You are so so so close to crawling and you sometimes stand up on your feet while your hands are on the ground. We started putting you in your jumparoo and now you want to jump all the time when someone is holding you. You are trying to sit on your own, but you haven't quite got that down yet. I am sure by next month you will be sitting and crawling. We'll see :)
We love you so much!!

Weight: 16.2lbs
Length: about 27in.

Picture time!!

Mr. Serious!!

Eli don't put your feet in your mouth.

No...don't you do it!

Mommy....Why can't I put my feet on my mouth.

One of these days he is gonna reach out and grab that paper and tear it to shreds.

It looks like he is clapping in this picture. Maybe he was trying to, I must have told him only a few more pictures.

What a sweet boy. I love him to pieces. He is so silly and just brings a smile to my face each and every day.

A visit with friends

A few weeks ago Eli and I had a little visit with my friend Katie and her sweet baby boy Daniel. He is such a cutie. I love his spiky blonde hair.

While we were there Daniel decided to stand on his own for the very first time. It was so exciting. Not only for us but I think for him to. I could be wrong but I don't think it will be long before this cute guy is walking around....that is...if he isn't already.
I love his expressions as he realizes that he did it.
Oh, my goodness...I'm standing!

Okay...concentrate..

Momma do you see me, I'm standing!

Your getting this on camera right.

I can't believe this little guy has gotten so big. It seems like just yesterday that I went to visit Katie and Justin in the hospital, Daniel was just a few hours old...How has it been almost a year already. Seem's impossible. Time sure flies when your having fun. These babies just change your life in a way you never imagined. And I think I can speak for both of us when I say that it's the best change that could happen. :)

We thought it would be cute to get a picture or two of Daniel and Eli.

But Daniel thought that this was a perfect opprotunity to give some kisses. And Eli would have usually been okay with that, but it was a little to close to dinner time for him, and he wasn't havin it.

He looks so worried in this picture.

Oh, my..and in this one. Ha ha ha.
Daniel next time I come I will try to being a happier baby.

It looks like the boys were looking at Justin in this picture, hopefully he got this shot of them. It was so nice to visit. Hopefully we will get together again soon. And who knows...maybe this will be the start of a life long friendship and we will be sharing these pictures years down the road at graduations and weddings :)
That's a long way away, I really shouldn't get to far ahead of myself.

Picture-Galore

Just a few pictures... Okay maybe more than just a few.
Enjoy!

This little guy is trying to sit up from a crawl position.

Where did my tiny little baby go that was once not so mobile. I guess those days are gone, time to baby proof the house.

He was getting distracted by the TV.

I love this picture because he was trying to talk to me, I love it when he does that.

Now it was time to be serious and figure out this crawling business.

I know I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I love this little gummy smile.

Cool dude with Momma's shades on :)

Hi!!!

I'm not sure, but I think someone was being a little ham for the camera.

Beachy Baby

A few weekends ago we had a very special birthday party to attend at the beach. It was a little chilly in the shade and to sunny in the sun...Does that even make any sense? At any rate, it was Eli's first trip to the beach and I am not sure it really counts. There was no playing in the water for the first time. And it certainly can't be a beach trip without sand in the toes. There will be another beach trip in the future, and we will have to make that one count.

And although there was no water play and sandy toes....

There was a super cute baby wearing a super cute hat!!

A super cute shirtless-overall wearin baby at that, with super cute boat shoes to match.
What a perfect little outfit for a first un-official trip to the beach :)

I love this gummy little smile.

Not another picture!!

Okay maybe just one, but i'm not smilin.
What a cutie pie!
Welcome beachy weather! We have been waiting for you!
