Ready for my close up Mommy!

Here are a few pictures that I took of the little guy with the new camera. I finally got around to editing them and couldn't wait to share. I love how they came out.

He was't so sure about the grass.

Or the tie.

Ohhhh.....I'm crazy about this boy!

Ten Months Old!

Oh my dear! Honest to goodness....You are growing up way way way to fast! So fast sometimes I wonder if I am even remembering to write everything down. I'm sure i'm not. There are just those moments that are to precious to miss even just a second of. Half the time snapping a photo or taking a video are an after thought. But I keep assuring myself that those memories are being stored in a very special place in my heart. And the pictures and video that I think to take, make up for the ones I miss. Just two months away to being a whole year old. The countdown has begun and so has the party planning!

Eli Shane you are 10 months old!
And long gone are the days of having this fancy little paper in your crib that says that.

You are getting so big. In the last month alot has happened. You have mastered your wave, and it is so cute. August 15th- you drank out of a straw for the very first time. Which was very exciting for your Mommy and Daddy for some reason. Ha! I also discovered that day that your very first tooth was cutting through the gums.

And by the time we took your 10 month pictures, you could really see that cute little tooth.
Bye bye gummy smile.

You are all over the place now. Which makes taking these pictures just a little bit harder than it use to be. You just love to go, so keeping you contained to one area for to long is a task.

Your eating habits really have not changed much you are still such a good eater. And you are still eating just about whatever we are eating. And since you now know how to drink out of a straw, if one comes in your sight you have to have a drink. For that matter if anyone is eating anything in your sight, you have to have a taste.

You still crawl everywhere, but you have started walking. The end of August you took your very first steps without realizing it. After that you would be standing on your own and take two -four steps and just not even know you did it. It took a good week before you realized what you where doing and would take steps on purpose. By your 10 month mark/Sept 9th you had it figured out, still working on your balance, but you knew you could do it. Won't be long at all. You are very determined.

You LOVE to swim!

And you Love to brush you teeth! Or rather tooth :)

You are a very mobile baby nowdays and I am constantly running around after you. You love music, you are always at the piano tapping on the keys and if you hear any kind of music it gets your attention. Sometimes you will hum along to music and especially if I am singing a song you will hum along with me.
You love swimming.  You love anything that moves and makes noise like the doombuggy the tractor and the lawn mower. Mostly I think you just like going for a ride on all those things. When your Daddy is mowing the yard you get frustrated because you want to go for a ride. You stand at the back sliding door and fuss at him. When he goes by he waves at you and even though your mad you always wave back.
There is one thing that makes noise that you are not loving these days and that is the vacume...You had a little mishap with that recently. I had had just finished with the vacume when you crawled over and the big red power button caught your attention. Needless to say you pressed it and it scared you. Thank goodness Daddy was nearby to save you. Since then the vacume is not interesting to you at all.

You LOVE LOVE LOVE to ride the doombuggy with your Pa pa.

We love you so much little munchkin. Mommy and Daddy can hardly believe in only two more months your will be a year old. It seems like just yesterday that we ere bringing you home from the hospital.

Finally!

Welp! I finally did it, I took the plunge... I finally got a new camera. YAY!! This is one of many reason's as to why there hasn't been any new words typed here lately. But I can assure you that it was worth the wait. I have a ton of cute pictures to share. It took some time. I had to get familiar with the camera and the lense. Then there is the whole editing thing. And then weeding out the pictures is the hardest part for me, because they are all so cute and all very special. Having found it very hard to hit the delete button, we still manage to get the job done and now I'm here...ready to share...well okay already...Just attach the pictures!

Enjoy!

What a Face!

In the next few photos Eli is a little out of focus....but...I had to share these because this is a very normal scene around our house. Eli and Gunner hang out together all the time, sometimes against the wishes of ole' Gunner. Eli has a tendency to try and rearrange the features of Gunny's face...he he.
Gunner you are a very patient dog.

I like how in this next picture Gunner is anticipating the head pat from Eli. His eyes are already clsoed. Too Cute!
Many more to come!

Nine Months Old!

Its hard to imagine that the nine months that I carried you.. has now doubled and a whole 18 months later from the moment that I found out I was pregnant with you has passed and we have the most handsome, healthy, happy nine month old baby boy. I can't say enough how much I enjoy and have enjoyed this time watching you grow and learn. It means more to me than life itself. And in three very short months you will be a whole year old. Crazy to think that time can pass by so fast...where does it go?!?!
Eli Shane you are 9 months old!

You are always smiling!

Sometimes serious, but that is rare.

Your laugh is the cutest ever, I love it!!

You still have a gummy smile...no teeth yet. I am starting to wonder if we are going to get a mouth full all at once. And although you don't have any teeth, you are the best little eater. Eating whatever we eat and you aren't picky about it. You like to eat. I have discovered that you really like spaghetti. Some other favorites are chicken. I made chicken pot pie recently and you really enjoyed that. You love fruit and anything sweet of course. You are still nursing but only about every 4-5 hours.

Not walking yet, but trust me. You are into everything... I find myself constantly running behind you and putting things back. No No has taken over my vocabulary and none the less yours too!
At 8 months old we thought that you were starting to wave bye bye, and it wasn't long that you really figured it out. I think that we were saying it so much that along with mastering the wave came your second word. Bye Bye. I wasn't too sad because a few days later came your third and that was Ma Ma! So exciting :) I love to hear you say it even though most of the time its amongst the best of your daily babble. We are very sure that you are working on your next word... Dog. You sometimes just say it while your playing but a few times you have crawled up to gunner and pat his back and say dohg dohg dohg....the g being slightly silent. We will repeat it and make the g very present to you and you have repeated it back and kinda growled at the end. almost like you are trying very hard to say it right.

Once you learned to wave you had a rediscovery of your hands and I think realized that you could do so much with them. You started clapping your hands and now you will give five's. So Cute!
Another word that you have started to say is No No. The funniest thing happened the other day. It amazes me that not only do you learn to say a word but in the right context. Your Daddy was playing with you the other day and Mommy was cleaning the kitchen. You started making your way to the kitchen area when your Daddy yelled for you to come back, you stopped mid-crawl and turned his direction saying Da Da...No No!!! I could hardly keep it together. You are too funny! Daddy won that battle you went back to the living room to play.

This picture depicts what is the highlight of everyday for me and that is when you give me kisses, I have to admit, you have been a little stingy with them lately but when you are in the mood to give kisses, you really give them. Baby slob facial, but I'll take it :)

This pool hasn't had much outside use lately but who knew an empty pool to climb in and out of could be so much fun!
You love to do this.

And we love you big guy!
