Eleven Months Old!

Just one month to go before my little munchkin is a whole year old! Hard to believe. We are in full party planning mode here at our home. Getting all the little details ready. And since the little guy has mastered his walking, it makes party planning all the more difficult. Lets not even mention having the time to do a blog post now and again! I suppose I don't mind the busy-ness and the lack of time to get little things done that I'd like to, because I love that boy to pieces and he makes it all worth it!

Eli Shane you are 11 months old!

I feel like in the last month you have grown so much. You Walking really took off and you are walking everywhere, practically running now. You have started to have a huge interest in music. It has always seemed to get your attention but anytime you hear music you start dancing. And sometimes when you here music you will go tap on the piano keys or try to strum your Daddys guitar.
I love this serious little look you are giving me.
You are always a happy baby for your momma, but!
Sometimes you give me a little tude!
And rarely ever are you sad, but you are in this picture. And I just had to show this picture. What a sad sad face!

LOOK at those toofers! Wow! These pictures were not taken exactly on your 11 months mark but close. You 2nd tooth came through on Oct 2nd & your 3rd came through Oct 14th. All on the right side!
Your balance is very good, and you are really good about getting on and off your horse now.

You spend alot of time in your room getting on your horse, making vroom vroom noises, likes its a tractor or something and then getting off, then all over again. :)
Tired Boy!
We have made huge huge improvements for getting you on a better schedule. And I have to say for as quick as it happened you have done so great. We started on a Friday and by Monday you were down to nursing only twice a day, morning & night. I'm positive at this point it is only for your comfort. Nap time is around 1, and we no longer rock you to sleep, we just read a book and then lay you in your crib.
The first week was a little hard because you would cry for a little while before you would actually go to sleep, but you are doing so good now. You usually take about a 2-3 hour nap. At night you are getting better about going to bed earlier, we are still working on that, but you usually go to sleep about 9 and sleep through the night until 7:30. Oh I can't tell you how Thankful I am for that.

This is how you are doing Peek a boo right now. You are just so cute because when I say Where is Eli...you throw your hands up to your head, sometimes they make it over your eyes, we'll get there.

You also started swim lessons October 3rd And you are doing so good, We are so very proud of you! Pictures for that are coming soon!

In this picture, I'm not sure what you were saying it about but you were saying "see". You say that word alot for some reason. Usually you hold something up that you want us to look at and say see. But sometimes you walk around just saying it. You also say dog alot. And your favorite word is No. You say no about everything. The funniest thing is when Gunner Barks, you could be in mid laugh playing with me or Daddy and if Gunner barks you stop and get very serious and say NO! Sometimes even No dog!
You play with gunner all the time since you have started walking you have become more interested in him, you are always getting toys out of his basket and give them to him, you also throw food off your high chair to him and try to give him your cup. You love for gunner to tug on a toy with you. But your most recent adventure is to try and ride gunner like your rocking horse. It hasn't gone so well for you yet, but maybe if you stay persistant he will let you and maybe I can get a picture or two of it.

Oh and sometimes you call your horse a dog. Well we will get that figured out to.

Silly
Silly
Silly Boy!
You might be silly...but you sure are sweet!
And we love you so much!

Ten Months Old!

Oh my dear! Honest to goodness....You are growing up way way way to fast! So fast sometimes I wonder if I am even remembering to write everything down. I'm sure i'm not. There are just those moments that are to precious to miss even just a second of. Half the time snapping a photo or taking a video are an after thought. But I keep assuring myself that those memories are being stored in a very special place in my heart. And the pictures and video that I think to take, make up for the ones I miss. Just two months away to being a whole year old. The countdown has begun and so has the party planning!

Eli Shane you are 10 months old!
And long gone are the days of having this fancy little paper in your crib that says that.

You are getting so big. In the last month alot has happened. You have mastered your wave, and it is so cute. August 15th- you drank out of a straw for the very first time. Which was very exciting for your Mommy and Daddy for some reason. Ha! I also discovered that day that your very first tooth was cutting through the gums.

And by the time we took your 10 month pictures, you could really see that cute little tooth.
Bye bye gummy smile.

You are all over the place now. Which makes taking these pictures just a little bit harder than it use to be. You just love to go, so keeping you contained to one area for to long is a task.

Your eating habits really have not changed much you are still such a good eater. And you are still eating just about whatever we are eating. And since you now know how to drink out of a straw, if one comes in your sight you have to have a drink. For that matter if anyone is eating anything in your sight, you have to have a taste.

You still crawl everywhere, but you have started walking. The end of August you took your very first steps without realizing it. After that you would be standing on your own and take two -four steps and just not even know you did it. It took a good week before you realized what you where doing and would take steps on purpose. By your 10 month mark/Sept 9th you had it figured out, still working on your balance, but you knew you could do it. Won't be long at all. You are very determined.

You LOVE to swim!

And you Love to brush you teeth! Or rather tooth :)

You are a very mobile baby nowdays and I am constantly running around after you. You love music, you are always at the piano tapping on the keys and if you hear any kind of music it gets your attention. Sometimes you will hum along to music and especially if I am singing a song you will hum along with me.
You love swimming.  You love anything that moves and makes noise like the doombuggy the tractor and the lawn mower. Mostly I think you just like going for a ride on all those things. When your Daddy is mowing the yard you get frustrated because you want to go for a ride. You stand at the back sliding door and fuss at him. When he goes by he waves at you and even though your mad you always wave back.
There is one thing that makes noise that you are not loving these days and that is the vacume...You had a little mishap with that recently. I had had just finished with the vacume when you crawled over and the big red power button caught your attention. Needless to say you pressed it and it scared you. Thank goodness Daddy was nearby to save you. Since then the vacume is not interesting to you at all.

You LOVE LOVE LOVE to ride the doombuggy with your Pa pa.

We love you so much little munchkin. Mommy and Daddy can hardly believe in only two more months your will be a year old. It seems like just yesterday that we ere bringing you home from the hospital.

Finally!

Welp! I finally did it, I took the plunge... I finally got a new camera. YAY!! This is one of many reason's as to why there hasn't been any new words typed here lately. But I can assure you that it was worth the wait. I have a ton of cute pictures to share. It took some time. I had to get familiar with the camera and the lense. Then there is the whole editing thing. And then weeding out the pictures is the hardest part for me, because they are all so cute and all very special. Having found it very hard to hit the delete button, we still manage to get the job done and now I'm here...ready to share...well okay already...Just attach the pictures!

Enjoy!

What a Face!

In the next few photos Eli is a little out of focus....but...I had to share these because this is a very normal scene around our house. Eli and Gunner hang out together all the time, sometimes against the wishes of ole' Gunner. Eli has a tendency to try and rearrange the features of Gunny's face...he he.
Gunner you are a very patient dog.

I like how in this next picture Gunner is anticipating the head pat from Eli. His eyes are already clsoed. Too Cute!
Many more to come!
